Helium Music Manager is an all-in-one music manager and player for Windows. Besides the ability to playback music, the application helps you sort your music collection using its multiple tagging and file renaming tools. While it can overwhelm casual music listeners with its plethora of functions, it can be a great choice for those in search of more than a simple music player.
When you first launch the app, it invites you to add music from different sources, like folders in your PC or CDs; it can even import a library from iTunes, Winamp, Windows Media Player, or MediaMonkey. Music is added to the Library, where you can sort and view tracks in different ways; you can use its various search tools to locate songs by albums, artists, or genre.
Besides the usual player controls, the application provides different tagging tools that make it easy to add or update tracks information, allowing you to identify and tag songs from online sources. It is possible to rename single or multiple tracks at a time using templates with many advanced options. Tools like the album cover downloader, for example, work exceptionally well by putting at your disposal the right cover for your albums with one click.
The app's interface is attractive, user-friendly, and consists of different panels and toolbars that you can show and hide as you please. The Music Explorer allows you to browse your PC for new tracks, and also shows custom and automatic playlists.
A CD ripper and burner, audio converter, MP3 analyzer, scrobbler, duplicate finder, file renamer, plus several other tools are also included in this music player. Helium Music Manager is free, and there are Premium and Network versions offering many advanced functions.
